Hello Family & Friends!
I arrived in Berlin Wednesday morning and will be posting some photos later, but here are my initial thoughts: - Berlin is awesome! - Berlin is like an older version of Brooklyn (Kreuzberg is to Berlin as Williamsburg is to Brooklyn). - My personality is very much that of a German (very orderly and neat, somewhat reserved, angry when people are late). After all, my last name is very German. And apparently I look very German. - People don't jaywalk here. It is very strange. Even when there are no cars coming, they wait until the little green man in the hat comes up. They don't even step off the sidewalk. That's all for now! Onward, Chris Hello Family & Friends,
Hannah and I took a trip to Strasbourg over Bastille Day weekend. It's a quaint little town, but we were somewhat surprised by the hoards of tourists. It also rained most of the weekend. We got a kick out of exploring all of the different churches that spread across such a tiny town. I've uploaded photos with captions below. I will post a link to a "video postcard" for Strasbourg once I get the chance. Onward, Chris Hello Family & Friends! I am back in Paris after Lourmarin (well, I have been back for awhile, but I'm not very good at keeping up with this thing). I've just been continuing to explore... Hannah and I marched in the Paris Gay Pride Parade a couple of weekends ago and it was a blast. It was raining, but we had fun. It was interesting to see a crowd of French people singing Queen's "We Will Rock You," a version of which quickly turned into an electro remix. I also tried my hand at biking through Paris, which you will see in my latest video: https://vimeo.com/100546641 Password: edithpiaf What else? Hannah and I went to Père Lachaise cemetery and got inspired to film a short little horror movie. I will be editing that soon and will post the final product here when it's done. Rather than go on about all the things I've been up to, I uploaded a bunch of photos below with descriptive captions. I don't know why, but this damn website rotates portrait photos into landscape when you post to the gallery, so I'm posting those ones one-by-one. On another note, I'd like to give a shout out to all my buddies back in NYC... I know some of you are going through a hard time right now with some terrible news and I wish I could be there with you. I'm sending much, much love and good vibes your way. Onward, Chris P.S. If you commented on something on the blog, I only just saw it a couple days ago. I thought the website would send me an e-mail when someone comments, but it doesn't do that, so I just discovered them. My apologies. I just received this photo from a woman I met on my glacier hike in Iceland. I thought it was too cool not to share.
