A few weeks after camping at Lake Sonoma, Muddy and I hit the road again for camping at Big Sur-- this time, with family. What should have been a three-hour drive turned into a five-hour drive because of stupid Bay Area traffic. We had to make a pit stop in Gilroy and there was a rodeo going on. Sometimes, I forget how country central California can be.
We spent three nights at the Ventana Big Sur campground. I got to spend some quality time with my little nephews, as well as my brother-in-law's side of the family. We passed the time by exploring, throwing the football, and "fishing" in a creek at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park. Muddy and I also took a little hike along Post Creek to check out the views of the ocean.
This camping trip was a nice little way to say goodbye to summer. As always, photos below (and maybe a video sometime in the future)!
